How we make an essay

INKD publishes arguments and interpretations whose reasoning a reader can follow. Evidence should sharpen an opinion. It should also show where that opinion reaches beyond what is known.

From question to publication

Andrew sets editorial direction. An AI coordinator turns that direction into bounded assignments for AI workers. AI workers develop the prose, check its sources and give it a separate reader review. The editorial process resolves findings and prepares a candidate for Andrew, who authorizes publication and retains final responsibility.

Sources and judgment

We distinguish documented facts from interpretation, uncertainty and imagined examples. Sources appear where they help a reader inspect a claim. We do not treat a plausible account as a verified event, or infer someone’s motives from a vote, a statement or a design choice.

AI and authorship

AI participates in research, drafting and review. That participation belongs in the credit; human direction belongs there too. The credit describes the actual work on a piece. AI assistance does not transfer responsibility away from the publisher, and an essay is not presented as original reporting or an interview without the work to support that description.

Corrections

If you find a factual error, send the passage and supporting evidence to lab@drknyt.com. When a material error is corrected, we add a note explaining what changed and why. Ordinary wording and formatting edits do not receive a correction notice.
